Oral Test: Mindmaps May- July 2013

For the Oral test you will need to:

  • Design 3 mindmaps like the ones showed in the pictures bellow. 





  • Also, you will need to have a conversation with a partner. Be ready to ask and answer questions in a short conversation about the lessons practiced in class..



  • Bring something to share with your classmates (a little snack).

  • All mindmaps must be on paper.. No digital material.. We'll be placing your posters on the wall for everyone to look at and learn from.

  • And the most important.... Have fun!!! Take a lot of photos and post them to our facebook group..

Unit 1

A. Make a mindmap about people in your life. Use photos or drawings. Write about 2 people in your family , school life, work, neighbourhood, online and a hero.  Explain your mindmap, explain why those people are in your life.

B. My memories: Good memories of high school. Make a photo story. Use slide.com or animoto.com. Include images and text. Use these questions to help you: Where did you go to school? What was your favorite subject? Who was your favorite teacher? My best friend in high school: Who was your best friend in high school? What are some things you did together? What is one happy memory you have of this person?


Unit 2

1. design a collage with different kind of foods and describe then. use adjectives to describe food. You can create a slide show.. (slide.com or animoto.com). Use images and text.

2. Describe a dish from your favorite country in the world. Use these question: What type of food is it?, How does it taste?, Is is a hot/cold food?, What is in it?, How do you eat it?, When do you eat it?

3. Writing: Restaurant review
Choose two restaurants and compare then. Use comparatives and superlatives. Describe the food. talk about prices, location, and service.

Final project Jan- April 2012

Hello, there! Well, we are entering the third term of the trimester and it's time for us to find out how much we have achieved during our time together. Our final project is an interesting assessment exercise... Where we will working different skills like writing, speaking, listening and reading. We'll practice:
  • How to work in groups to collaborate, cooperate, share, teach and learn together.
  • How to integrate different technological tools: creating and designing a power point presentation, audio recording, power point uploading, posting to a blog, sharing in social networks, like facebook, and twitter.
  • Transferring the knowledge got during our classes and using it to talk about different topics from the ones discussed in class.
  • Reflecting on what we have achieved.
  • Leave your mark on this class
